Paint & Print: A Landscape Investigation

Explore the endless possibilities of watercolour paint. Students learn a handful of watercolour techniques and best practices that will set them up for success – not only for the duration of this project, but for the school year ahead. My goal is to empower you and your students to feel confident and prepared to pull out those watercolour paints more often!

After working with watercolour paints, we embark on a landscape investigation! What is a landscape? How can we use lines to add texture and depth to our artwork? Students will be introduced to basic printmaking tools and principles to pull a beautiful print directly on top of their watercolour backgrounds.

This work is thoughtfully completed on 5”x7” paper, making it easy & ready to frame. This project also doubles as a beautiful, thoughtful gift for Mothers Day and Fathers Day.
