Do you travel outside Edmonton's city limits?

Yes, we do travel outside of Edmonton! Please note that there is an additional travel fee for programs outside the city limit. Travel fees are approximately $1/km. Please see below for some of our most frequently requested travel fees.

School Programs

How many students can participate in a School Program?

We can accomodate class sizes of up to thirty. Please contact us if this is a concern for you.

How many Adult Helpers are required for in-school field trips?

Your class will be divided in four to six groups, depending on your class's size and needs.

The number of required parent helpers required is as follows:

Kindergarten to Grade 2: One volunteer for each group Grade 3 – 4: Two to four volunteers total Grade 5 – 6: One to two volunteers total

What are the building requirements to book an in-school field trip?

Please note that the school must be accessible via ramp. If you do not have a ramp, we cannot access your classroom with the materials to run your program.

Ideally, the classroom where your in-school field trip takes place in should be equipped with a sink. If this is not the case, please advise us at the time of booking.

In order to qualify for a multi-class discount, multiple programs should take place in the same room. If there is an art room or empty classroom available, please book it for your in-school field trip.

How do I set up my classroom?

Students should be split up in four to six groups, depending on your class size/needs and number of available parent volunteers.

Please have students seated at group tables, or arrange their desks into pods.

Can I leave during the School Program?

No. A teacher and the requested number of parent volunteers are expected to be present for the duration of the in-school field trip.

When is payment due for School Programs?

Payment is due on or before the date of the program. Please make cheques payable to ArtVentures, or pay your invoice online using a credit card.

What is your Cancellation Policy for School Programs?

In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your program, we require at least two weeks notice in writing to emma@artventures.ca. No fee will be charged provided this requirement is met. Less than two weeks notice for cancellation or rescheduling will result in a $50 fee. If less than 48 hours is provided for a cancelled or rescheduled program, the full program fee will be charged.

Do School Programs break for recess?

No, School Programs do not break for recess. Please adjust your snack and break routine accordingly.

When can I book a School Program?

School Programs can be booked Monday-Friday, in the morning or in the afternoon. Morning programs run from 9:30AM - 11:00AM; afternoon programs run from 12:30PM-2:00PM. Programs do not break for recess, please adjust your snack and break routine accordingly.

Kids Parties

How many people can participate in a Birthday Party?

Birthday parties accomodate up to ten participants, including the guest of honour. Additional guests may participate for a fee of $20/person.

Please note that for the Design-a-Tote party, there is an additional $5 fee per person.

What do I need to provide you with for a Birthday Party?

We do everything we can to make your child's birthday art activity as easy as possible on you. All you need to do is provide us with a cleared, well-lit area with room for your party guests to create in.

Please note that an adult must remain present for the duration of the party, and may be asked to assist with distributing art materials and wash-up time.

When is payment due for Birthday Parties?

A $50 deposit is due at the time of booking. Payment for the remainder of your bill is due on or before the date of the program. You may pay with credit card online, or in cash at the party.

Do Birthday Parties need to be supervised?

Please note that an adult must be present at all times. The ArtVentures representative's role is to facilitate an art party, and not to stand in for adult supervision or childcare. A parent or guardian must be present for the duration of the ArtVentures party, and may be asked to assist in some way during the event.

What is your Cancellation Policy for Birthday Parties?

To confirm your party booking, we require a non-refundable $50 deposit.

In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your party, we require at least two weeks notice in writing to emma@artventures.ca. Rescheduled dates are subject to availability.

Less than two weeks notice for cancellation or rescheduling will require an additional $50 non refundable deposit. If less than 48 hours is provided for a cancelled party, the full program fee will be charged.

When can I book a birthday party?

Birthday parties can be booked on Saturday mornings from 11AM - 12PM, or Saturday afternoons from 2PM - 3PM.

Art Classes

How do I register for camps and classes?

Registration is all done online and is fast and easy! Please fill out the form and pay with your credit card. In the event that the website is down or there are any issues with credit card, please contact emma@artventures.ca for alternate payment options.

Where do your registered classes take place?

Emma Wales (ArtVentures Founder and Lead Educator) teaches registered camps and classes out of her home studio, located at 8812 62 street.

This studio is a free-standing building in her backyard; please let yourself through the side gate and join us! Signage will direct you.
